Security lighting and PIR sensor installation in Woking: LED floodlights and wall lights that switch on when someone approaches. Placed to light your property, not the neighbours', and fully tested.

A PIR sensor detects body heat moving across its field of view and switches the light on for a set time. You can adjust how far it reaches, how long the light stays on and the light level at which it starts working, so it doesn't trigger in daylight.
Lights work best over doors, side passages, garages and the approach to the house, mounted high enough that they're hard to tamper with. Pairing them with CCTV gives cameras a well-lit picture at night when someone walks up to the property.
A floodlight that shines into a neighbour's bedroom, or one triggered by every passing car, quickly becomes a problem for everyone. Angling the fitting downwards, limiting the sensor's range and choosing the right brightness keeps the light where it's actually useful.
We walk round the outside of the property, at dusk if possible, to see the dark spots and the routes someone would take to the doors. We then suggest fittings and positions, and give you a free quote that covers the lights, sensors and cable routes.
On the day, we fit the lights, run the cables neatly along walls or through them, and connect them to a suitable circuit with RCD protection. We set the sensor range, timer and light level, and test each one with you after dark if you'd like.
Call or send us a message with what's wrong or what you'd like done. We aim to respond the same day.
There's no call-out charge. We look at the job, explain what's needed and give you a free, no-obligation quote.
We carry out the work, test it and hand you the right certificate, leaving everything safe and tidy.
Usually because the sensor is picking up heat from passing cars, animals, moving branches or warm air from a vent. Reducing its range, angling it away from the road or moving it slightly normally stops it. A faulty sensor may need replacing.
Yes. Lighting up the area when someone approaches helps cameras record a clearer, colour picture at night. Some cameras have lights built in, while separate floodlights cover a wider area. We plan the two together if you're fitting both at the same time.
Usually not. Motion-activated lights use less energy, draw attention when someone approaches and are less likely to disturb neighbours. Low-level dusk-to-dawn lights can suit paths and porches, with PIR floodlights covering the more vulnerable areas such as side gates and back doors.
Not always. They can often be connected to an existing lighting circuit, as long as it has RCD protection and capacity. If several lights or a long cable run are needed, a new circuit may be better, which is notifiable work that we certify.
We fit security lighting across all of these areas. Choose yours.
Send us photos of the outside of your property and any dark areas, and we'll suggest lights and quote for free.
