LED downlight installation in Woking for kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and extensions. Even light, low running costs and the right fire-rated or bathroom-rated fittings, all fitted and tested.

Downlights look best in a planned grid, spaced to give even light without dark patches or glare. The spacing depends on the ceiling height and the beam angle of the fitting. We mark out the positions with you before cutting any holes.
Cutting holes in a ceiling can weaken its fire resistance, so fire-rated downlights are used where the ceiling needs to hold back a fire, such as below a floor above. In a ceiling with loft insulation over it, we use fittings that are safe to cover.
Bathrooms have zones around the bath and shower. Downlights in those zones need a suitable water rating, often IP65, and are protected by an RCD. We choose fittings that match each zone, so the lighting stays safe in a steamy room.
We look at the ceiling, the joist direction and what's above it, then agree the number of downlights, their positions and the colour of light. The free quote covers the fittings, dimmers and any new switching or circuits.
On the day, we mark out and cut the holes, run the cables between joists and fit each downlight. We fit dimmers that work with LEDs, test the circuit and tidy up. Small gaps around old fittings are filled, ready for you to paint.

It depends on the size of the room, the ceiling height and the beam angle of the fittings. A typical kitchen needs enough to light the worktops evenly without shadows. We work out the number and spacing when we visit, rather than guessing from a floor plan.
Yes. We can swap halogen lamps for LED ones, or replace the whole fittings with new integrated LED downlights. New fittings are usually brighter and more efficient, and it's a good time to check the existing wiring and fit an LED-compatible dimmer.
Much less than people expect. Each downlight needs a neat round hole, and cables are pulled through between the joists from above or between the holes. There's some dust, which we clear up, and filling or painting is only needed where old fittings are removed.
Yes. LED downlights use a fraction of the power of the halogen spots they usually replace and last many years. How much you save depends on how many you have and how long they're on, but kitchens and living rooms usually see the biggest difference.
