Electric shower installation in Woking, for new showers and higher-powered replacements. We check your fuse board and cable size, fit the right circuit and isolator, then test and certify the work.

An electric shower heats cold water as it flows, so it draws a lot of current, often more than any other appliance in the house. It needs its own circuit from the fuse board, with a cable thick enough for its power rating and RCD protection.
Swapping an old 8.5kW shower for a 9.5kW or 10.5kW model sounds simple, but the existing cable and breaker may not be rated for the extra load. We check both before you buy, so the new shower doesn't overheat its cable or keep tripping.
Bathrooms are a special location in the wiring regulations, with zones around the bath and shower that limit what can go where. The shower needs a double-pole isolating switch, usually a ceiling pull cord or a switch outside the room.
Before the job, we look at your fuse board, the shower's power rating and the route the cable needs to take. If you haven't chosen a shower yet, we can tell you the highest rating your installation can safely take.
On the day, we run the new circuit or upgrade the existing one, fit the isolator and connect the shower. Your plumber can fit the water connections, or tell us who's doing it. We test the circuit and issue a certificate, notifying building control where required.
Call or send us a message with what's wrong or what you'd like done. We aim to respond the same day.
There's no call-out charge. We look at the job, explain what's needed and give you a free, no-obligation quote.
We carry out the work, test it and hand you the right certificate, leaving everything safe and tidy.
Often, but not always without changes. A higher kW shower needs a cable and breaker rated for it. We check your existing circuit and tell you whether the new shower can go straight on, or whether the cable needs upgrading first.
Usually, yes, for the water supply and any tiling. Some showers are a straight swap on existing pipework, which is simpler. We handle the electrical side, and we're happy to work alongside your plumber so both parts are ready on the same day.
A new shower circuit is notifiable under Part P, as is most new electrical work in a bathroom. We notify building control through NAPIT, and you receive an installation certificate and a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate once the shower is tested.
Common causes are water getting into the shower unit, a failing heating element, or a cable or connection overheating. Stop using it and switch it off at the isolator. We test the circuit and the shower to find the cause and tell you whether it can be repaired.
We fit electric showers in all of the areas listed. Pick yours.
